“I noticed on my dog tags just the other day, I attached a medal of Our Beautiful Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. She kept me safe with her mantle throughout my 11 year Navy career. I do remember asking one of my drill instructors if I could keep it on my dog tags and thankfully he was Catholic and said, “of course, I need one on mine”…which was not normal for a drill instructor. He knew the graces of Our Lady.”
